He is an architect, curator, and architectural and design critic. He is currently focused on contemporary architectural practices, as well as the mid to late 20th-century modernism and its contemporary potentials.

He has curated several international exhibitions, authored several books and numerous articles in some of the leading international magazines. He works in film as well. Mrduljaš is the editor-in-chief of Oris architectural magazine and an independent expert for Mies van der Rohe EU prize for architecture. He is a lecturer at the Zagreb Faculty of Architecture.
