Christian Kerez – ENG

Christian Kerez was born in 1962 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and graduated from ETH Zurich in 1988. After extensive published work in the field of architectural photography, he opened his own architectural office in Zurich, Switzerland in 1993. From 2001 to 2025, Kerez taught at ETH Zurich, initially as a visiting and assistant professor and, from 2009, as Professor of Architecture and Design. In 2012, he held the Kenzo Tange Chair at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. That same year, he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Today, his practice works from Zurich and Tirana on projects of various scales across Switzerland, Brazil, China and Albania.
