Annekatrien Verdickt (44 years old) co-directs the Brussels-based firm ARCHITECTUURPLATFORM Terwecoren Verdickt with her partner Jan Terwecoren. In her work, research by design and sustainability occupy a fundamental place. The diverse architecture and urban projects contribute to a more sustainable urban metabolism. Important themes in her work are integrated sustainable urban logistics and manufacturing, urban port activities, waste and food fluxes, urban livability, health, qualitative public space, mobility… Additionally, Annekatrien founded the design studio Filter Café Filtré Atelier that mobilizes the power of imagination and design in a constructive plea for a more livable city.
