Marko Gusić, Matija Brnetić, Izabela Salopek, Irma ŠmucARGU studio is a young architectural studio founded in 2019 in Zagreb by architect Marko Gusić. Over the past years, the studio has developed naturally. First, Matija Brnetić joined the team, followed by Izabela Salopek. After many years of experience and a short period of independent practice, Irma Šmuc also joined, becoming increasingly involved in the studio’s projects and eventually becoming one of its key members.
ARGU studio has profiled itself as a studio strongly oriented toward competition-based work, with an emphasis on conceptual clarity, spatial proportion, and a deep consideration of context. In the past few years, the studio has achieved significant results, including: 1st prize for the Celje Passenger Center (2025), 1st prize for the Brda Sports and Recreation Center – swimming pool and sports hall (2024), 2nd prize for the Samobor Market (2025), 2nd prize for Osijek JUG IV, and 3rd prize for the Trogir Market.
The careers of Marko Gusić and Irma Šmuc have been shaped by many years of design experience at the office njiric+ arhitekti, where they participated in numerous award-winning projects.
