In this Jubilee Year, a sea of images and three models come together in a concise retrospective that presents nearly all the projects by the architectural office IVANIŠIN.KABASHI. ARHITEKTI. The projects vary in scale and purpose — some designed, some built — for both public and private clients, situated in extraordinary as well as entirely ordinary locations. In terms of content, the exhibition continues the narrative of Projects and Things, held at the Oris House of Architecture in 2021. That exhibition emphasized the materiality and contextualization of the projects. This one shifts the focus to produced and found images: sketches, floor plans and sections, three-dimensional renderings, and photographs. These beautiful images reveal the species of architecture: structure, volume, form, appearance, kind, type, surface, material, radiance, property, scene, and atmosphere. Collected over twenty-five years — whether in response to concrete problems or seemingly by chance — they trace the periphery of our journey through real and imagined spaces, libraries, and collections. The models represent a recently completed project (a hotel in the center of Zagreb, 2017–24), a project currently under construction (a complex of residential buildings overlooking Dubrovnik, 2016–), and a project at its very beginning (a business tower in Zagreb, 2024–), all conceived with the final cause in mind: the useful building.
