KREŠIMIR DAMJANOVIĆ, CROATIA
Krešimir Damjanović (b. 1986, Zagreb) is a Croatian architect. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb in 2013. From 2013 to 2021, he worked at the studio of academician Nikola Bašić (MARINAPROJEKT d.o.o Since 2022, he has been practicing independently. Alongside his professional practice, he is active in academia – initially as an external associate assistant at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy in Split, and currently as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb.
Damjanović’s projects have also been recognized internationally. He is the winner of the Shinkenchiku Residential Design Competition 2017 and the 59th Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition 2024, two highly significant global competitions for emerging architectural authors. He has also received honorary mentions in the Shinkenchiku competitions 2018 and 2019. His projects and theoretical writings have been published in Shinkenchiku, A+U, Oris and other international and regional architectural magazines.
He has lectured widely in Croatia, including at the Days of Oris, Days of Architects, the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb and FGAG in Split. His work often extends into the field of artistic production, through solo and group exhibitions in which he explores drawing, abstraction, material experimentation and spatial atmospheres.
